AUS F4 – 2025
AGI Sport to promote AUS F4 in 2025!
AGI Sport along with its partners, Motorsport Australia, the Australian Racing Drivers Club, and The Bend Motorsport Park are proud and incredibly excited to announce the 2025 Australian Formula 4 Championship. For the first time we will see a two class structure in Australian F4. One for the 2022 model Tatuus F4-T421 (2nd Generation) F4 car that is the current F4 car being raced across Europe and will do so until 2030 and a second class for the 2015 Mygale M14-F4 (1st Generation) F4 car.
What is F4?
Formula 4 (F4) is an open-wheel racing series designed to prepare drivers for the higher levels of motorsport, such as Formula 3, Formula 2, Formula 1, or even Indy cars! The cars used in F4 are purpose-built to allow young drivers to develop their skills in a highly competitive, yet manageable environment. The AUS F4 Championship will feature two distinct categories: Class A and Class B, with both offering exciting racing and an excellent platform for career progression.
Gen 1 2015 Mygale M14-F4:
(Class B for the 2015 model Mygale) These cars represent the original F4 formula, featuring a robust, lightweight design with advanced aerodynamics and a 2.0L engine that provides a perfect balance of power and handling. The Gen 1 F4 car is known for its precision and driver engagement, offering a challenging but rewarding experience for any aspiring racer.
The minimum age to race the 2015 model Mygale F4 has be lowered to 14 year of age so karters can get a head start into the world of single seater car racing.
We envisage young drivers competing in the F4 Junior category (Mygale Gen 1) for their first season of car racing at 14 before progressing into the Tatuus Gen 2 model in their second season.
Gen 2 2022 Tatuus F4-T421 : (Class A for the 2022 Tatuus) The Gen 2 Taurus F4 takes things a step further, incorporating improvements in aerodynamics, suspension, and overall performance. With a refined chassis and a more powerful engine, this car provides drivers with a higher level of competition while still retaining the driver-focused philosophy of F4 racing. The Gen 2 car is an ideal stepping stone for those looking to progress to more advanced levels of motorsport.
5 Exciting Rounds Across Australia
The 2025 season will feature 5 rounds, with races taking place at various racing circuits across Australia. From high-speed straights to technical corners, each round will provide an exciting challenge for drivers, as they battle for titles in the Australian motorsport scene.
Whether you’re looking to advance through the motorsport ranks or explore a career in open-wheel racing, the 2025 AUS F4 Championship offers the ideal opportunity to showcase your talent and make a name for yourself in the racing world.
